Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Division Executive for a technology company that provides adaptive maintenance training and enterprise software solutions to the trucking industry.

The Sales Manager will produce incremental revenue through outbound sales calls (including cold calls), inbound leads, response to requests for proposal and other bid and proposal opportunities, as well as develop and make sales presentations to potential clients. The position will engage with external and internal constituents relative to qualifying leads, phone prospecting, setting up appointments, preparing and presenting sales proposals, and closing deals. The position will actively and aggressively prospect for new clients by generating new leads and/or researching assigned territory for potential sales sources that turn potential leads into sales results, & actively identify client needs & ensure profitable solution-based selling to increase revenues & create value-added customer relationships. The challenge is to increase revenue & maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Sold discretionary products & technologies into commercial trucking (5 years)
  • Trucking technology
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • OEM, supplier, & carrier network
  • Time & territory management reporting processes
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
  • Location: Near major airport in major commercial trucking region (home office)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Software sales
  • Transportation software (Diagnostic, predictive analytics, learning management systems)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Technology
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Aggressive hunter sales mentality
  • Professional attitude & appearance, able to demonstrate product
  • Ability to multitask & interact with other people, both internal and external
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal & visual
  • Collaborate with product management group & other internal constituents
  • Ability to travel - road warrior
