Salary Range:$76,000.00 - $95,000.00

Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director of an asset-based, full service 3PL providing customized solutions to ensure the right shipping solutions at the right cost.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales and business development, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel strategies. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales and liaison with account management and operations teams. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the region, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility growing a non-asset Freight Brokerage (7+ years)
  • Sales Management – Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor
  • Modes of transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, intermodal, Specialized)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Carrier, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Akron/Cleveland, OH (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
