Main Responsibilities:
• Manage Sales team
o Manage weekly/daily tasks
o Conduct performance reviews
o Set performance objectives
o Address performance issues
• Act as the main Point of Contact to the customers
• Manage communications for product inquiries via the website, phone, email and / or web
conferencing
• Maintain customer and prospect files in CRM system
• Analyze, identify and react to customer purchasing trends and opportunities
• Produce and maintain customer contracts
• Manage quarterly communications with customers
• Analyze, identify and react to sales trends and opportunities
• Produce quarterly communication with customers via web, fax or email
• Manage and prepare reporting for the sales team
• Manage inbound sales calls
• Perform outbound sales calls
• Perform onsite customer sales visits
• Investigate and resolve customer issues
• Supervise the Sample Order Process
• Manage and lead Product Knowledge Training
• Complete other duties at the discretion of management
• Attend/present at regional and national food shows
• Proactively pursue leads – via trade shows list, internet etc
Supervision Received:
Must be able to work independently. Supervisor provides necessary leadership, mentoring and cross-functional support.


Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role or a sales support function
• Import experience preferred (would we want this on his as well since it’s good if a
salesperson is familiar with selling product not already in states, tariffs etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and has the ability to take on challenges and be responsive to change
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with GreenRope or similar Customer Relationship Management Software
• Ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams and external
partners
• Organization, attention to detail and follow-through is essential
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the customer
• Solid analysis, decision-making, and problem resolution skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and to prioritize appropriately.
• Strong leadership foundation and knowledge of leadership principles and practices
• Employee development and performance management skills
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and
developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Overnight travel may be required several times a year.
