Sales Manager – Transit Technology Solutions

Location: Remote (within the U.S.)
Employment Type: Full-time Exempt
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base + commission

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a global leader in advanced transit technology to hire a Sales Manager who will help expand market presence across the U.S. This role focuses on driving growth in automated fare collection systems, transit lighting products, and related solutions that modernize public transportation systems.

This is an ideal position for professionals with customer-facing experience within transit agencies or related industries—not limited to traditional sales backgrounds. Engineers, service professionals, or technical specialists who have worked directly with clients or public transit authorities are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers, nurturing relationships and identifying new opportunities.

  • Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and proposals tailored to client needs.

  • Develop and execute sales forecasts, quotas, and market strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.

  • Respond to bids and RFPs by coordinating, writing, and submitting competitive proposals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to deliver accurate quotes and project information.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand market reach.

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

    • Experience:

      • 10–20 years of relevant work experience in transit, transportation, or industrial sectors.

      • Direct experience providing equipment, systems, or services to transit agencies or public works organizations.

      • Customer-facing experience in sales, service, support, or engineering roles.

    • Proven ability to build rapport with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

      Additional Requirements

      • Willingness to travel up to 50–75% of the time, including occasional weekends.

      • Flexibility to participate in calls with international partners during early mornings or evenings.

      • Ability to handle product demonstrations that may involve moving or showcasing heavier equipment.
