SALES MANAGER- HORTICULTURAL SUPPLY
Grasslands Recruitment Specialists is recruiting a full-time, hybrid remote home office/office-based experienced Sales Manager- Horticultural Supply. This position will be based in SW Ontario and will work for a market-leading global supplier of high-quality horticultural products and expertise, providing local market sales and technical service representation. They work with their customers to solve problems and find opportunities with the goal of improving grower success and crop quality. In this Sales Manager role, you will be accountable to lead and grow sales- to develop and implement the overall company sales budget, to work with the team of horticultural technical sales representatives to develop and execute their individual sales plans with the goal of delivering target revenue and margin contribution reflected in the commercial plan, and to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction levels. This consultative sales management position earns a competitive salary of $100,000-$120,000/year, with additional incentives of up to 10%. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SALES MANAGER- HORTICULTURAL SUPPLY
As a Sales Manager- Horticultural Supply you will report to and work with the General Manager to establish short and long-term sales goals and develop and execute short and long-term sales plans to meet the sales volume and margin objectives. You will lead the sales team to develop their personal skills to succeed in their individual roles and as a team to achieve their goals. Working with individual members of the sales team, you will assist them to formulate and execute their sales plans- collectively contributing to deliver the expected corporate plan. You will also work collaboratively with other departments (marketing, product development, international etc.) to meet common company goals.
You will have daily collaboration with your sales team on large scale sales and business development opportunities. You will make regular visits to strategic end-use customers and have regular contact with suppliers. You will support your team to troubleshoot performance inquiries and work through resolutions while maintaining positive customer relationships. You will strategize methods and actions to be successful in a competitive and dynamic international marketplace. You will gather market intelligence to help identify threats and competitive issues affecting the business and will have the opportunity to represent the company at industry meetings and associations.

- Post secondary education majoring in business, horticulture or plant sciences, combined with leadership training and 5+ years experience in sales and management roles.
