Sales Manager - Retail

Job Description

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Sales Manager to manage and expand key retail accounts across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role will focus primarily on account management with some opportunity to drive new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing retail accounts within a defined territory
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, acting as a strong customer advocate
  • Build relationships with category managers, buyers, and senior retail stakeholders
  • Support strategic initiatives and cross-regional projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in food sales, with a focus on retail channels
  • Strong understanding of fresh food categories and regional retail dynamics
  • Proven ability to manage key accounts and navigate complex customer relationships
  • Self-starter with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and customer focus

Territory & Travel:

  • Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S.
  • ~30% travel (primarily regional, day trips when possible)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $120K–$150K + bonus
