Sales Manager - Specialty Hardware Distribution
Our client is a leading North American distributor, importer, and manufacturer of specialty hardware and complementary products, generating multi-billion annual sales. Due to rapid growth and the strategic splitting of a large territory, they are seeking an aggressive, "hunter-mentality" Sales Manager to lead their Southeast Pennsylvania market.

Role Overview:
As the Sales Manager, you will oversee a $30 million branch/region and manage a dedicated team of seven representatives (5 outside and 2 inside). This is a high-impact, "feet-on-the-street" leadership role where you will spend approximately 3 to 4 days per week in the field coaching your team and 1 day on administrative tasks. You will be responsible for driving growth within a territory that includes Pennsylvania and the surrounding Southeast PA market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage a team of 5 outside sales reps and 2 inside sales reps to meet and exceed regional sales goals.
  • Market Growth: Drive a "true hunter" mindset across the team to identify new business opportunities and expand the existing $30M revenue base.
  • Strategic Coaching: Build a compelling case for the company’s solutions and coach the team on B2B sales techniques.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management for the sales team and foster a culture focused on winning and growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain and build relationships within the primary customer base, including cabinet manufacturers, kitchen manufacturers, and architectural millwork firms.
Role Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Industrial Distribution.
  • Leadership: Proven background managing an inside/outside sales team with a strong focus on coaching.
  • Sales Mindset: An aggressive "hunter" nature with a mindset focused on finding new business and winning.
  • Technical Skills: Experience utilizing CRM software for territory and performance management.
  • Industry Knowledge: B2B experience selling to cabinet or kitchen manufacturers and architectural millwork customers.
  • Logistics: Must live within 50–70 miles of Reading, PA, and be willing to work a M-F schedule with weekends as needed during the ramp-up phase.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $85,000 – $90,000.
  • Variable Pay: Uncapped commission (% of sales).
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 25% of salary.
  • On-Target Earnings: "All-in" compensation for a successful candidate is estimated between $135,000 – $150,000.
  • Vehicle Package: $600/month car allowance plus a gas card.
