We are excited to present a direct hire opportunity for a Sales Manager based in Winston Salem, NC at a 100% employee-owned international manufacturer of custom industrial thermal processing equipment. This pivotal leadership role oversees both the internal and external sales teams with a mission to drive business growth and revenue. This role involves managing a personal portfolio of key customers while also pioneering new client acquisitions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire inside and outside sales teams to achieve business objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from lead generation through to closing, ensuring the CRM and sales pipeline are effectively utilized.
- Collaborate on developing and implementing sales strategies that penetrate new markets and identify fresh opportunities.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs to better serve them.
- Guide the sales team in negotiations, handling objections, and closing deals, stepping in to assist with high-stakes situations as needed.
- Oversee the strategic direction of the sales function, correlating efforts with the organization’s overall goals.
- Track performance metrics, utilizing data to inform decisions and improve sales processes.
- Ensure alignment among sales, marketing, production, and other departments to optimize customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the sales team.
- Regularly report on sales activities, results, and strategies to senior management.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record in sales leadership and team management.
- Detailed understanding of the sales cycle from initiation to deal closure.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to employ strategic thinking in changing market conditions.
- Experience with CRM software and sales enablement tools.
- Analytical skills necessary for data-driven decision-making.
- Must exhibit resilience and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business or related fields.
- Experience in the industrial manufacturing sector, particularly in thermal processing equipment.
- Proven ability to drive CRM initiatives and lead adoption of new sales technologies.
- Experience with international sales and global market penetration.
- Fluency in a second language is an asset.
