Role Objective:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for continuing and expanding the sales success of the business in the automotive and industrial tools sectors. The role is designed for a dynamic and positive individual who can successfully secure new sales and then work closely with the owner to develop a deeper understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of the company. The ultimate goal is for the candidate to grow into a senior leadership position, taking on broader responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Drive sales growth within the automotive and industrial tools markets, focusing on expanding the client base and building strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Outcome-Driven Approach: Prioritize achieving tangible results, such as increased revenue and profitability. Focus on delivering “money in the bank” outcomes rather than adhering to rigid processes.
  • Strategic Sales Initiatives: Implement and manage sales strategies that align with the company’s goals, ensuring that the business continues to grow in a sustainable and profitable manner.
  • Operational Learning: Collaborate closely with the owner to gain insights into other aspects of the business, including operations, finance, and strategic planning, as part of the career path towards senior leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial Leadership: Act as a thinker and a doer, taking proactive steps to seize business opportunities while maintaining a hands-on approach to management.

  • Family Business Experience: You will have experience working in a small or family-owned business and be comfortable in a close-knit and hands-on environment.
