Job Summary
The Sales Manager will lead the dealership’s sales department, overseeing sales operations, developing strategies to maximize sales and profitability, and cultivating a team environment that emphasizes Harley-Davidson brand values. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a sales role (preferably in a leadership or assistant role), a passion for the powersports industry, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales associates to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Foster a high-energy, positive team environment aligned with Harley-Davidson’s brand values.
- Conduct regular team meetings and individual performance reviews.

Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve dealership goals and increase revenue.
- Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to remain competitive in the region.
- Drive customer retention by providing an outstanding buying experience.

Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through active engagement.

Inventory & Financial Oversight:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure popular models and accessories are available.
- Oversee pricing strategies and ensure alignment with dealership profit goals.
- Analyze sales performance metrics to track progress and report results to senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or assistant sales (powersports or automotive experience preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Harley-Davidson products, culture, and customer base is a plus.
- Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems.
