Job Summary

The Sales Manager will lead the dealership’s sales department, overseeing sales operations, developing strategies to maximize sales and profitability, and cultivating a team environment that emphasizes Harley-Davidson brand values. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a sales role (preferably in a leadership or assistant role), a passion for the powersports industry, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor sales associates to meet and exceed performance goals.
    • Foster a high-energy, positive team environment aligned with Harley-Davidson’s brand values.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and individual performance reviews.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve dealership goals and increase revenue.
    • Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to remain competitive in the region.
    • Drive customer retention by providing an outstanding buying experience.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
    • Resolve escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through active engagement.
  • Inventory & Financial Oversight:

    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure popular models and accessories are available.
    • Oversee pricing strategies and ensure alignment with dealership profit goals.
    • Analyze sales performance metrics to track progress and report results to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales or assistant sales (powersports or automotive experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Harley-Davidson products, culture, and customer base is a plus.
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems.
