Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Operations of a $15M third-party logistics provider founded on the spirit of safe, reliable, on-time delivery.
The Sales Executive is responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing, and closing the business. Will prepare rate proposals to prospective and new clients for various transportation services while utilizing knowledge of market trends to provide strategic solutions. The Sales Executive will generate a book of business by making phone calls and developing high-level relationships with key decision makers. Will schedule customer visits to solidify rapport and conduct customer business reviews. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Business Development (1+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Specialized)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: College Graduate
  • Residence: Chicago, IL
