Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Flat Bed Sales Manager of a non-asset-based logistics provider in business for over 30 years, driven by their core values: Service, Integrity, and Teamwork. The organization provides a productive, fun, family-friendly culture and values their relationships with their customers and employees.

Responsible for the solicitation, brokering and management of all freight for customers in an effort to grow the Flatbed division for the organization. Will maintain the proper documentation pertaining to all loads moved; negotiate customer and carrier freight rates. Will call and work with existing customers to obtain loads. Will work with team leader and Flatbed Manager to generate new customer leads, follow up with both carriers and customers on assigned loads, maintaining productive working relationships with customer and carrier representatives. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Sales, Account Management, and Operations in non-asset transportation (2+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Flatbed, Dry van)
  • Verifiable track record of customer growth
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Glen Rose, TX (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in “cradle to grave” environment
  • McLeod Software
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
