Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of a $660 million drayage, container, regional, dedicated, truckload and logistics company that has been in business for over 50 years, specializing in intermodal services including, container depot operations, rail, warehousing and logistics throughout the West, Midwest, Ohio Valley, Gulf and East coast, with a team of over 160 multimodal experts and a fleet of over 1,300 company & independent contract drivers, with a driver turnover rate of less than 40%.
The Sales Executive will be domiciled in the West Coast region and are expected to utilize a consultative sales approach to identify, solicit, and secure new business from existing and new customers for the multi-mode transportation & 3PL services. Provides service updates to customers based on customers’ requests. Collaborates with pricing based on customer knowledge. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentations, contract signing, and implementation planning. Challenge is to increase revenue and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Multi modal transportation sales (i.e., Regional Truckload & Drayage, Warehousing, Intermodal)
  • Established customer contacts and business development in the West Coast region
  • Possess a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals
  • Time & territory management reporting process (i.e. Salesforce)
  • Understanding of pricing, lanes, density
  • Development & execution of sales plan
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Travel: up to 30%
  • Residence: West Coast Region (remote office)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
