Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Manager of an international shipping and freight forwarding company specializing in the handling of projects and oversized & heavy cargo with 30+ offices in 20+ countries. Our client offers a portfolio of services to include door-to-door delivery worldwide (i.e. sea, truck, air, rail, barge), project management, turnkey projects & operations, cargo handling & warehousing, crane & rigging, stevedoring, engineering, and supply chain management.
The Sales Executive role is to develop new business and retain the existing customer base by selling our client’s full suite of products and services in a global team environment. Identifies new business opportunities in both new and existing accounts by building strategic relationships with key contacts within target organizations. Prepares quotations, professional proposals, and presentations for clients covering full suite of logistics services. Capitalizes on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to meet client needs. Facilitates regular meetings with clients and operations staff to evaluate performance, challenges, and future plans. Networks and attends within industry groups and events across the country. Conducts business in a manner consistent with company policy.

Background Required:
  • General freight forwarding sales (3-5 years)
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Project and Oversized / Heavy Cargo
  • Excellent knowledge of Project Forwarding markets and competitive landscape
  • Multimodal (i.e. truck, air, ocean, barge, rail)
  • Import and Export operations
  • Bids, proposals, and negotiations
  • Time, territory & contact management
  • Computer literate: Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Home Office (USA)

  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Industrial Projects
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
