Estimator / Sales Engineer Job Description:
1) Receive and review inquiries, download information using customer driven methods and platforms, file and print copies of documents as required.
2) Send out requests for materials, purchased items and outside processes / contracted work costs pertinent to each individual inquiry.
3) Estimate labor hours for all internal processes required for design and/or manufacturing of products per customer specifications.
4) Enter general information, accumulated hours and costs for each inquiry into spread sheets and business systems as required to generate viable cost estimates,
quotations and budgetary estimates.
5) Submit quotations and budgetary estimates using methods and/or platforms per customer directives and instructions.
6) Interact with customers verbally, electronically and personally as needed to collect information and/or documentation essential for completing inquiries as well as following up on submissions.
This may include the need for travel to customer sites for meetings and events.
7) Work with other management, engineering and manufacturing colleagues to create and/or generate needed processes, concepts, lead times and other matters
necessary for completing inquiries.
8) Attend weekly Monday morning management meetings and report as to the overall work load in estimating, issues and/or difficulties with individual inquiries and provide customer responses
in regard to submissions.
Target salary: $70-90k plus bonus and profit sharing
