Sales Engineer – Remote/Vernon Hills
Location: Remote or Vernon Hills Full-Time

Overview
Join a growing team specializing in purpose-built Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems for top-tier Video Management Software (VMS) platforms. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in pre-sales efforts—blending deep technical expertise with strong communication skills to design custom surveillance solutions that align with customer needs and business goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with sales to identify and qualify technical opportunities.

  • Conduct needs assessments to understand client challenges and objectives.

  • Design and present custom surveillance solutions tailored to platforms like Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec, and Exacq.

  • Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proofs-of-concept.

  • Create and maintain documentation including BOMs, proposals, and solution overviews.

  • Support performance testing, certifications, and lab validations.

  • Build relationships with technical stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Provide limited post-sales guidance to support successful implementation.

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or systems integration in IT or physical security.

  • Strong knowledge of NVR architecture, IP networking, RAID, Windows Server, and major VMS platforms.

  • Experience with server hardware, OS (Windows/Linux), and hypervisors like VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Ability to align technical solutions with customer business needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field).
