Our client, an international supplier to the Automotive Industry, is seeking a Sales Engineer for Canada. The ideal candidate is seeking a chance to grow their skillset and has some exposure to automotive distribution channels in Canada. Responsibilities

As part of the National Sales Group, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Lead front line sales across Canada, with the majority of clients located in Southern Ontario
  • Work closely with customers to ensure their needs are understood and met
  • Make recommendations and product suggestions that help you achieve sales targets
  • Utilize technology to gather and disseminate data
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients, and work to foster new relationships with potential clients
  • Manage budget, pricing, discounts, incentives, and negotiations
  • Along with the Sales Director, create and implement a sales strategy to drive additional revenue and profit
  • Present sales reports, budgets, and forecasts to the VP and the President
  • Work with the Marketing Department to help shape marketing activities to meet your sales objectives
  • Participate in other special projects as required

Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • College or University degree in a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of the OEMs in Canada
  • 4 or more years of experience in the Automotive industry with an automotive supplier in the North American market
  • Comfortable using Salesforce or a similar CRM system to input and analyze sales data
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Canada as well as overseas
