Our client is a software-based voice and messaging provider, looking for a Sales Engineer.

The Sales Engineers are an integral part of the sales team, helping educate prospective customers of the benefits of our client’s communication solutions and driving product adoption through technical efforts.

Essential Duties:

  • Developing and continually refining deep product knowledge
  • Providing informational presentations and live software demonstrations
  • Participating in functional and technical discovery sessions
  • Supporting marketing events and participate actively in the community
  • Interacting with current customers and prospects to define market requirements
  • Providing business and technical support/leadership to the sales team
  • Working closely with product marketing to formulate value propositions and define go to market plan
  • Serving as the go-to technical resource for the sales team to close deals with prospects and existing accounts
  • Achieving assigned bookings quota

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer networking, computer science, information technology
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience:

  • 4+ years in a technical sales role with client-facing responsibilities required
  • Cloud Services knowledge required
  • Experience selling and understanding the value proposition of API based software solutions
  • Industry vertical experience, e.g. Financial Services, Retail, Government, Security or Telecommunication. Communication Service Providers, UCAAS, CPAAS
  • Track record of closing net new deals and identifying cross-sell opportunities
  • Proven ability to establish customer rapport and credibility through demonstration of deep technical expertise
  • Comfortable working both independently and on a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and time management
  • Experience working with remote collaboration/presentation tools
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned region, as needed
