Sales Engineer (10160)

Who They Are
Our client is a manufacturer that has been supplying piping specialty products to the commercial Fire Safety, HVAC and Plumbing industry since the 1950s. They need a Sales Engineer in Chicago to take over the accounts there. We are looking for a sharp salesperson early in their career to join the company with long-term growth potential.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate among departments and external suppliers to meet project deadlines
  • Provide product training to distributors, designers, and engineers
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features and products
  • Maintain good relationships with distributors and vendors
  • Responsible for generating and updating prices
  • Keep up with market intelligence

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (in a technical field preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with commercial piping systems and their components preferred
  • Time and scope management for multiple projects for each disturbing client
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
