Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a multi-million-dollar third party provider of global logistics. Services include transloading imported and domestic goods, asset-based dispatch and drayage, full-Service Warehousing and Distribution, ecommerce, and transportation services. Logistics services include, trucking, intermodal dock to dock services, freight consolidation and deconsolidation, and small package
The Sales Director is responsible for the development of profitable Freight Brokerage business supporting growth nationally for the organization. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and managing the startup process after the sale. Will also coordinate with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. Challenge is to regionally expand account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (6+ years)
- Service offering (i.e. Freight Brokerage, 3PL, LTL, Consolidation, TL)
- Strong Selling and closing capabilities
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: USA
- Freight Management Software
- Transportation Network understanding
- Education: College Graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High energy with a sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask
- Team player
