Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales of one of the largest privately held warehousing and transportation logistics providers in the US.
The Sales Director will actively pursue new valued business opportunities to qualify leads and customer needs, resulting in solution recommendation, negotiation and pricing. Long-term goals include new business development, account revenue growth and increasing account responsibility (array of products and level of relationship). Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Third Party Logistics Sales: Contract Warehousing & Transportation Management (5 years)
  • Proven track record of closing accounts within Food & Beverage, CPG, Aerospace, Automotive, E-comm
  • Developed and execute business plan strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology tools (i.e. WMS, LMS)
  • Supply Chain Integration Process
  • Computer literate (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
  • Travel: 50 %
  • Residence: Central or Eastern United States
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Advanced Degree –MBA, Masters
