Job Description

Our client is a well-established, leading filtration manufacturer in the United States. They’re in immediate need of a Sales Director for their filtration division, overseeing the sales and strategies to drive revenue growth.

Your primary responsibility is to create and execute sales plans that generate revenue for the company on a domestic and international scale. This position will hire, train, motivate, and manage a sales team through which the annual plan is implemented. Extensive communication is required with multiple partners for the purpose of gaining team and company performance updates, reporting on sales status regularly, interacting with customers and vendors and for seeking information, clarification and collaboratively approaching the sales activities for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and evaluate internal and external sales representative leads and orders.
  • Manage initiation, execution, and follow up of all sales orders.
  • Measure productivity and achievement toward sales goals by reviewing sales, activity reports, and other performance data.
  • Establish, monitor, maintain, and regularly report on the company’s forecasts and monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Analyze sales data and recommend changes to enhance customer satisfaction and future revenue.
  • Determine sales aspects requiring cost reduction and improvement.
  • Follow up with vendors and customers to secure payment as requested by accounting.
  • Plan, direct, collaborate and innovate on sales activities.
  • Attend domestic and international trade shows to represent and promote company products and services.
  • Continuously stay abreast of industry trends and competitor products.
  • Create proactive planning to capitalize on industry trends and competition activities.
  • Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships as pipelines for product sales.
  • Anticipate and proactively take measures to sell to customer needs.
  • Resolve and report on customer issues according to company policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, hire and train sales representatives.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Plan and manage bi-weekly, and as needed, sales meetings.
  • Submit monthly departmental sales and expense reports.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics that drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or engineering degree is preferred.
  • Proven successful experience in sales, management and customer service.
  • Experience in water/wastewater, filtration and metal fabrication is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful sales teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of sales professionals.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems is needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel upwards of 50%.
  • Strong command of MS Office 365 products.

Compensation is a base salary plus commissions/bonus with OTE $200k-$225k, plus full benefits.
