Military Contractor in IT Solutions Sector seeks a Sales and Business Development to call on other contractors for set aside contracts. The right person should live and work in the East Time Zone, but anywhere in the US might work out as well, if they don't live in the East Time Zone, you will have to like getting up early to conduct business.  The right person should also be very well connected to the Federal DOD end user IT vendors and other Federal DOD contractors looking to sub work with 8A contractors.  Someone that knows how contract business is done in the Federal Sector and has a large database of contacts will be an absolute must.  The position is very contract oriented but to get business you will need to have good B2B sales skills and know how to cold call, present and close to get the business, make no mistake this is a out in the street and on the phone type of sales business development position. There are almost 500 contracts let out a week and someone that is well connected can expect to bring a fare portion of that business with them.  There is a lot of business for the right person with the skills and connections.  This person will not be selling equipment or software as much as selling contracting work.  Someone that comes from the military and or has experience with large Federal DOD contractors and has strong sales skills will be right. Salary + Commission to 100k plus.
