Sales Agronomist

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Agronomist position consists of supporting our client company's portfolio of products as well as providing support to customers. This position will be assigned a specific geographic territory in Montana and will be expected to maintain and grow sales in this region based on established goals. The Sales Agronomist position will be a direct report to the Director of Sales.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • S. Degree in Agronomy / Agriculture related field or (5) years of industry experience is required.
  • Strong selling and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team focused environment.
  • Current and relevant knowledge of agronomy and business development.
  • Comfort and effectiveness in public speaking.
  • Proficient time management skills.

JOB DUTIES

  • Gain necessary knowledge to sell and promote the line of products offered.
  • Responsible for the sales, marketing, and customer relationships needed to maintain/grow sales in assigned geographical region.
  • Build strong business relationships with key channel partners and provide support and education as needed.
  • Provide necessary education at grower and dealer level by coordinating meetings and events to promote company products.
  • Creation and execution of annual business plan for assigned territory.
  • Attendance required at all company meetings to expand product knowledge.
  • Responsible for managing personally held inventory.
