Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President for a regional transportation provider.

The Sales Account Executive is a hunter responsible for the sales and marketing of a refrigerated-reefer tractor fleet. The goal is to develop committed lanes and dedicated business with new customers. National account sales. Sells committed lanes, ad hoc business, and dedicated fleet opportunities. Identifies new markets, customer leads and develops a strong sales pipeline. Negotiates rates with customers under the guidance of the VP. Onboards new customers, ensuring a smooth transition, preparing transportation contracts that will follow all Department of Transportation rules and regulations. Grows load counts with current customers. Brings solutions to the table for closing new business, knowing when to escalate. Communicates with department managers to assess and distribute current information on the development and needs of customers. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, and presentation(s), start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Acts as a representative of the company at industry events to network with industry leaders and prospect possible business opportunities. Advocates for customers and helps drive a customer service mentality within the company. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability. Travel 50%.

  • Residence: Denver, CO (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Dedicated contract carriage
  • Knowledge of TMW: (transportation management system)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
