Job description
An excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding freight brokerage headquartered in the Midwest. We’re seeking a driven transportation sales professional with a proven ability to build and maintain a strong book of business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth through developing new accounts and nurturing long-term relationships. Success in this position requires persistence, resilience, proactive engagement, and an unwavering commitment to exceeding goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develops new business accounts, then increases volume and revenue with each account
- Designs and executes account sales plans to achieve sales goals
- Builds meaningful, sticky relationships with each account
- Analyze clients' supply chain, seeking new area of opportunity to expand our service offerings
- Actively generates new sales leads and converts them to revenue-generating accounts
- Utilizes Salesforce to maintain account and pipeline information
- Communicates with the Operations team to ensure execution and performance
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of freight Brokerage experience
Bachelors degree desired - Strong desire to succeed in a sales / account management role
- Excellent multitasker
- Ability to handle stressful fast paced environment
- Great negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Highly organized
