Sales Account Executive

Job description

An excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding freight brokerage headquartered in the Midwest. We’re seeking a driven transportation sales professional with a proven ability to build and maintain a strong book of business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth through developing new accounts and nurturing long-term relationships. Success in this position requires persistence, resilience, proactive engagement, and an unwavering commitment to exceeding goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops new business accounts, then increases volume and revenue with each account
  • Designs and executes account sales plans to achieve sales goals
  • Builds meaningful, sticky relationships with each account
  • Analyze clients' supply chain, seeking new area of opportunity to expand our service offerings
  • Actively generates new sales leads and converts them to revenue-generating accounts
  • Utilizes Salesforce to maintain account and pipeline information
  • Communicates with the Operations team to ensure execution and performance

Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years of freight Brokerage experience
    Bachelors degree desired
  • Strong desire to succeed in a sales / account management role
  • Excellent multitasker
  • Ability to handle stressful fast paced environment
  • Great negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Highly organized
