SALES & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

A growing construction company, specializing in ADU, full remodeling, and residential projects, based in Los Angeles (CA 90035) is currently looking for a qualified, high-performing professional for a hybrid leadership role as their Sales & Operations Director (active California Contractor License – RMO/RME required).

This position is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle — from lead qualification and sales closing to project execution, delivery, and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Active California Contractor License
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry in California
  • At least 3 years of experience in Los Angeles
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Willingness to work full-time from the office (W2 employment)
  • Willingness to be assigned as Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) or Responsible Managing Employee (RME) in compliance with California Contractors State License Board

Work Format:

  • Full-time (W2)
  • Office-based with field/client meetings
  • Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming appointments (leads)
  • Conduct client meetings
  • Prepare estimates / statements of work
  • Close contracts
  • Oversee project execution:
  • Coordinate subcontractors
  • Monitor timelines and quality
  • Ensure full completion and client payment

Core Accountability:

Full cycle responsibility:

lead → contract → execution → completed project → collected revenue


Compensation Structure:

  1. Base Salary: $4,000/month
  2. Commission: 3% per contract (minimum contracts are $10-15,000, average between $30,000 - $150,000+)
  3. Bonus: $250 per deal


Payment Terms:

Commissions are paid as payments are received from the client

Bonuses are paid upon project completion and execution of the signed completion agreement with the client

Payments are made on a pro-rata (progress payment) basis

In the event the project is not completed, commissions and bonuses will not be paid

Base salary is paid regardless of project status

License Terms:

  • The candidate’s license will be assigned to the company as RMO or RME
  • No additional compensation is provided for license usage
  • Total compensation includes only: base salary + commission + bonus
  • The individual must actively participate in construction operations per CSLB requirements
  • A separate agreement will define license usage and responsibilities
