Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for driving revenue growth through new equipment sales, aftermarket parts and service opportunities, and strategic business development. This individual develops long-term customer relationships, leads sales initiatives from prospecting through contract execution, and works closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Lead proposal development, quotations, contract negotiations, and RFQ responses.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations to develop competitive technical and commercial solutions.
- Manage customer communications throughout the project lifecycle, including delivery, warranty, repairs, and aftermarket support.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity, and opportunity pipelines using CRM tools.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support strategic planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure quality, delivery, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful business development and technical sales experience.
- Experience selling engineered products; commercial vehicle or transportation equipment experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, project management, and complex sales cycles.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Travel
Extensive travel (approximately 50-80%) is required.
