Safety System Installer

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $25/hour

About the Company:

Our client is a manufacturer and developer of safety products for a variety of types of clients including construction and manufacturing. They have been in service for over 65 years and are seeking to consistently develop and install new products for all clients.

They are growing at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Safety System Installer to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation of new or modified fall protection systems at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications
• Set up hoisting/rigging equipment for raising and placing structural steel
• Fasten steel to cables and hoist with chain, cable, or rope to heights
• Signal workers operating hoisting equipment to lift and place worker when required
• Drive and operate personal and/or company vehicles, owned or rented when required
• Review documentation from customer and/or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Prior experience working on a construction site with structural steel or concrete is considered a strong asset
• Must possess a valid working at heights certification
• Must possess a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
• Must be able to operate various types of aerial lifts
• Must be able to operate forklifts (boom and mast), skid steer loaders, and other equipment
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in austere and often inclement conditions
• Physically fit with ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to travel up to 75%, weekend work might be required
• Must be able to read, understand and complete the forms required for work
