About the Role

As the Safety Supervisor, you'll oversee comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with MSHA standards and fostering a culture of safety excellence. This individual contributor role requires strong leadership to influence safety practices across the site while being hands-on in training, compliance, and incident management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure MSHA compliance through training, reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct safety audits and lead site safety committees.
  • Investigate incidents and provide strategic insights for preventative measures.
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions.
  • Collaborate on safety considerations for capital projects and site upgrades.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5–7 years in safety management, specifically in mining, aggregates, or related heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Certification: MSHA Parts 46 & 48 required.
  • Skills: Leadership, training facilitation, compliance expertise, and a collaborative approach to building trust.
  • Attributes: Ability to thrive in challenging environments, managing multiple priorities while maintaining safety as a top priority.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of limestone/mineral mining operations.
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as fall protection, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.
