We are searching for a Safety Coordinator to join our client's growing team.

As the Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
  • Work closely with division leadership to develop and support a culture of team engagement and ownership in Safety
  • Communicate and assist to enhance safety
  • Monitor OSHA compliance
  • Make recommendations for safety practices/improvements
  • Provide technical expertise to departments and assist in interpreting OSHA standards
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical safety data
  • Be a contributing and integral member of company's local, regional, product group and corporate-wide safety teams
  • 2+ years of related safety experience in industry or a degree associated with occupational safety
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with occupational safety and health standards in an industrial setting
  • Must be willing to work required hours and to be on-call in emergency situations 24/7
  • Must be willing and able to travel several times per year, up to a week at a time for safety meetings, and audits

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading and developing others
  • Prior safety leadership and developing others
  • OSHA VPP experience
