Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a major brand of a national retail group. The group has sales in excess of $3 billion and over 20,000 employees. The group’s businesses have a singular focus: provide premium products and services at a great value through over 2,000 company-owned and franchise locations, and 25 distribution centers throughout the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
The SVP Supply Chain is responsible for “hands-on” leadership, administration and planning for the Distribution Centers and transportation network which includes both planning and executing a long-term network strategy as well as improving operations within the existing network to deliver reliable and continuously improving results. The short-term focus will be to improve the current operations, particularly the returns process to, and within, the several DCs. The long-term focus will be to benefit from finding synergy with other brands in the group. Accountable for delivering through-put and productivity metrics that are established by working closely with the brand business units. Drives analysis of potential supply chain investments including systems & various productivity and process investments. Participates in the development and execution of the company’s long-term growth strategies and profit improvement goals.
