Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy & Analytics to drive enterprise-wide performance improvement through streamlined operations, technology-enabled solutions, and financial discipline. This executive will be a strategic thought partner to the CEO and executive team, with a mandate to reduce costs, increase revenue, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity across all aspects of the organization.
This is not a behind-the-scenes strategy role — we’re looking for a hands-on leader who understands numbers and knows how to turn analysis into execution with little oversight or support.
Job Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy & Process Optimization
- Lead company-wide initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, process design, and workflow automation.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks in key functions such as loan origination, processing, servicing, and support.
- Implement best-in-class process management and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Technology-Enabled Transformation
- Leverage automation, digital tools, and AI to streamline manual processes.
- Evaluate and deploy systems that enhance customer experience while reducing cycle times and operating costs.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and modern analytics infrastructure.
Financial Oversight & Cost Discipline
- Create actionable insights to improve business.
- Work closely with Finance to link operational KPIs to financial outcomes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while preserving (or improving) service levels.
- Build business cases and ROI models to prioritize strategic investments.
- Review and analyze company, department and product P&L’s
- Create QA and QC standards to detect problems before they happen.
Action-Oriented Leadership
- Translate strategic goals into concrete initiatives with timelines, ownership, and accountability.
- Drive execution through a disciplined operating rhythm, ensuring cross-functional alignment and follow-through.
- Serve as a trusted partner and change agent to senior leadership and department heads.
- Opportunity identification and problem solving
Salary Range: $220,000 - $250,000
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in operational strategy, finance, or consulting, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role. Mortgage, financial services, or fintech background preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus.
- Skills & Strengths:
- Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of how operational levers impact the P&L.
- Proven ability to lead efficiency and cost-reduction programs that result in measurable impact.
- Technologically savvy with experience implementing enterprise platforms and process automation.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a bias for action.
- Familiarity with performance frameworks (e.g., OKRs, KPIs, dashboards) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Deep understanding of financial statements
- Written and oral presentation skills
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI, also programming languages like Python and SQL is a plus.
