SUBSTATION ELECTRICAL LEAD ENGINEER (PE)

Location: MINNEAPOLIS OR ROCHESTER

We are partnering with a leading international engineering and consulting firm, currently expanding its Power Transmission & Distribution team in the United States.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a Substation Electrical Lead Engineer (PE) with strong experience in high-voltage substation projects.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) – preferred
• 5+ years of experience in substation engineering
• Proven experience in HV/EHV substations (34.5kV up to 765kV)
• Strong knowledge of protection & control systems and HV design

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and execution of substation projects (AIS & GIS)
• Oversee protection and control design, layouts and specifications
• Manage project scope, schedules and budgets
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, transmission, etc.)
• Interface with clients and act as technical point of contact
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Compensation:

• 120k - 170k depending on the experience
