Our client, a fast growing consumer loan servicing company, is seeking a SQL Developer. This role will report to the CIO. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual that has broad technology knowledge and enjoys getting hands-on to learn, execute, and continually improve upon their corporate technology processes and roadmap.

The position can be more or less senior based on the experience of the individual applicant, but the minimum and preferred skills are listed below.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• QA and test internal programs/queries and their output
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights as directed
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database designs, data models, and processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data as needed
• Participate in internal team meetings to better understand business processes

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL programming language
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data warehouse concepts
• Experience with ETL processes and 3rd party API connectivity
• Familiarity with SSMS and SQL agent
• Strong ability to QA your own work and the work of others
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights
• Knowledge of Java and Python programming languages is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS is a plus

Skills:

• Microsoft SQL Server: 5 years (Required)
• SQL Server Management Studio: 5 years (Required)
• AWS: 1 year (Required)

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. We are looking for candidates with prior experience in SQL development and database management. The ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential. This is a 100% in-office position. We are only considering applicants that are in the Chicagoland area right now and are prepared to commute to the Arlington Heights office everyday.
