We’re seeking a SQL DBA to work for our Columbus client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and database systems.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform regular database backups and test recovery procedures.
• Identify and resolve database-related issues and errors.
• Collaborate with application developers to troubleshoot query performance problems.
• Monitor database growth trends and plan for capacity expansion as needed.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for routine database tasks.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of as a SQL Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2016 and later versions.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and data protection regulations.
• Proficiency in T-SQL for scripting and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
