JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an SMT Operator in Holly, MI. Our client is a leading manufacturing facility looking for skilled SMT Operators to support their production process.

Shift:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay: $17.50/hour

Responsibilities of the SMT Operator include:

Machine Setup and Programming:

• Set up and program SMT machines based on production requirements and specifications.
• Ensure proper loading of programs and data into SMT equipment.

Operation and Monitoring:

• Operate SMT machines to place electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality production.

Quality Control:

• Conduct visual inspections of components and PCBs to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address and resolve any issues related to the SMT process.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine maintenance on SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and any adjustments made during the process.
• Generate reports as required by the production and quality control teams.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• Proven experience as an SMT Operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in programming and operating SMT machines.
• Knowledge of electronic components and their assembly processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Lift or move up to 10 lbs frequently, 25 lbs occasionally, and 50+ lbs as needed.
