Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an SMT Operator in Madison, AL. Our client is a technology-driven electronics manufacturer specializing in high-reliability products. The SMT Operator is responsible for supporting automated surface-mount production by setting up equipment, monitoring quality, and ensuring accurate assembly of printed circuit boards.

Job Requirements of an SMT Operator:

  • Minimum two years of experience in electronic manufacturing; SMT experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Good understanding of PCB components and part identification.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and production documentation.
  • Must be able to work overtime as scheduled.
  • Experience with MPM stencil printers or Camelot dispensers is a plus.
  • Performs other duties as required

Responsibilities of an SMT Operator include:

  • Work closely with production team members to ensure high-quality PCB assemblies meet daily output requirements.
  • Operate automated SMT placement equipment.
  • Load, unload, and change out feeders; verify components carefully against documentation.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct basic equipment or process issues; escalate concerns to support staff when needed.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with other operators and team leads.
  • Requires working knowledge of SMT machinery; familiarity with Juki systems is helpful.
  • Perform related tasks as assigned to support production flow.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday schedule: 5:00a.m.-5:30p.m.
