The SEO Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the SEO department and the digital content team. This includes managing client delegation, overall functions, daily workflow, as well leading and developing a team of SEO and digital content professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises, trains, assists, and oversees all SEO specialists and digital copywriters.
  • Directs the day-to-day workflow within the department.
  • Provides support and expectations for communication between the SEO specialists and clients.
  • Oversees, prioritizes, and organizes the work to be completed within the department.
  • Works directly with key client accounts to discuss and plan SEO strategies as well as maintain a positive relationship.
  • Provides ongoing training to new and existing SEO specialists using materials and intrapersonal training with individuals and small groups.
  • Responsible for planning and leading monthly department meetings.
  • Works with the copy department, art department and coding team to ensure quality control of SEO content including landing pages and blog posts.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of SEO reporting tools and makes suggestions for improvement when needed.
  • Responsible for the oversight and quality of SEO reporting.
  • Provides support to all other departments in the agency when assistance is needed regarding SEO.
  • Assists in providing informational aspects for SEO pitches and product updates for the agency.
  • Spearheads any changes in department processes and communicates these changes effectively with the rest of the SEO and digital content team.
  • Timely completion and execution of 90 day and annual reviews within your department.
  • Constant evaluation of your team for promotions, ongoing training opportunities and performance-based pay increases.
  • Onboarding new employees inclusive of a training schedule.
  • Directs day to day workflow of all work within the department.
  • Ensures that all products produced by the team meet the CK Advertising standards.
  • Plays an active role and supports the team with day-to-day SEO production when the workload is heavy.
  • Collaborates and works well with all other departments within CK Advertising, DyGen & Ember Social.
  • Directly manages every detail of any CK Advertising/DyGen/Ember Social specific campaign.
  • Proactively provides campaign strategies based on provided information.
  • Presents new & innovated ways to streamline process and increase efficiencies to direct supervisor.
  • Coordination and supervision of mandatory monthly department activity while staying within in provided budget.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with five or more years of experience in SEO, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and advanced skills in SEO strategy and best practices.
  • Proficient with Office Suite: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • The ability to manage a wide variety of tasks at one time is a must.
  • A strong emphasis on leadership and proactive planning.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbal and written.
  • Must be well-organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
