Your Role With the Company
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the Project Management and preparing of HVAC production drawings(beginning-to-end), redline drafting, use of AutoCAD and Revit, specification editing, submittal review, site visits/reviews, RFI responses and PCR reviews. You will be interacting with clients, attending client meetings, reviewing mechanical documentation, managing others, supervising and mentoring junior staff. You will also be coordinating information with other disciplines to make sure deliverables are compliant with client expectations.
Project Types
You will be responsible for designing mechanical HVAC systems for a variety of project types including – Aviation, Education (K-12 and higher Ed), Municipal, Office Buildings, Libraries, High Performance data centers, Industrial and Warehouse and other commercial buildings.
Background Profile
• Expertise in Mechanical Engineering design of HVAC systems for commercial buildings.
• 8+ year’s experience in design of central plants utilizing chillers, boilers, & cooling towers, constant and variable flow pumping systems, constant and variable flow air handling units, temperature control & energy management systems, piping systems, ductwork systems, variable air volume terminal units, ground source heat pump systems, water chemical treatment systems, packaged chillers, packaged roof top A/C units and split direct expansion A/C unit systems.
• Experience with managing and mentoring junior engineers
• Experience with energy modeling is a plus
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP is a must have
• Exposure to plumbing and electrical systems is a plus
• Working knowledge of Industry software such as Microsoft products, COMcheck, and HVAC load calculation programs such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace and/or eQuest
• PE or EIT in Texas or ability to get
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
