Our client has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a SAS Developer/Administrator. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation complimented by leading edge open-source HRIS software.

 

This is a 7 Month Contract with a strong possibility of extending until the end of 2012

Activities will include but are not limited to:

·         Monitoring & supporting daily/monthly ETL processes written in SAS code, DI Studio, and UNIX shell scripts.

·         Developing and testing enhancements to SAS analysis projects

·         Converting and enhancing existing SAS ETL process from PL/SQL to BookRunner web services

·         Installing BookRunner upgrades

·         Installing maintenance releases and hotfixes of SAS software (server and client)

·         Maintaining user accounts and security

·         Migrating XML between BookRunner environments

 

Key Hiring / Evaluation Criteria and Mandatory Qualifications:

·         Full-time on-site availability

·         Excellent verbal & written communication skills

·         Comfortable dealing with business clients

·         Fast learner

·         Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle

·         Commitment to ensuring quality and adherence to business requirements

·         Experience in the installation, maintenance and administration of UNIX-based applications and batch jobs

 

Technical Skills/Business Knowledge Needed

·         Proficiency in Oracle SQL

·         Proficiency in Solaris / Linux environments

·         Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and job scheduling

·         Proficiency in coding for one or more procedural programming languages

 

Nice to have skills/experience:

·         SAS coding experience

·         SAS development & maintenance tool experience (Enterprise Guide, DI Studio, Risk Dimensions, and Management Console)

·         O&G Industry experience

·         Understanding of risk analytics concepts

·         Code versioning (CVS)
