- Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Process Ownership & Governance
- Act as the business decision authority for Order Management process topics within the S/4 program, ensuring alignment to global standards and integrated end-to-end outcomes.
- Maintain and update core process artefacts (e.g., process design outputs and readiness deliverables) required for deployment sign-off.
- Blueprinting / Fit-to-Standard & Requirements
- Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops to identify and confirm business requirements and drive stakeholder alignment and approvals.
- Capture, document and manage user requirements through delivery tooling and backlog processes, ensuring clear traceability from requirement to design and test.
- Business Process Documentation (BPD) & Design
- Own the creation and maintenance of Business Process Descriptions (BPDs) and related documentation for “Manage / Capture Sales Orders” and associated Order Management scope.
- Support and sign off key output documents such as process design and interface specifications (where applicable to Order Management scope).
- Testing (Test Design, Execution, Defect Management)
- Write test scenarios and procedures; execute testing across phases; track execution and outcomes.
- Triage defects, support retesting, and approve defect resolution for items within the Order Management scope.
- Align testing scope and data sets with stakeholders to ensure meaningful end-to-end validation.
- Training, Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare
- Ensure training needs are defined and support development of training materials and delivery of end-user enablement (in partnership with adoption/training teams).
- Support go-live readiness reporting and deployment activities; provide post go-live support and hypercare problem resolution for Order Management.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between business teams, IT, and implementation partners for Order Management, facilitating workshops, sign-offs, and clear decisioning.
Skills (Required)
- Functional / Process Skills
- Deep knowledge of Order Management / sales order capture processes and the ability to translate business scenarios into standardized global process design and documentation.
- Strong capability in requirements definition, workshop facilitation and fit-to-standard methods.
- Strong testing discipline: ability to create test scenarios, execute tests, manage defect triage and retesting cycles.
- Delivery / Ways of Working
- Proven ability to work across program phases (readiness, design/build, testing, training, hypercare) with structured execution and governance.
- Ability to produce and manage high-quality delivery artefacts (e.g., BPDs and supporting documentation) and drive timely sign-off.
- Interpersonal / Leadership Skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills across global and regional teams, with the ability to influence, drive decisions and manage competing priorities.
- Clear, concise communication skills suitable for senior audiences and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Experience (Required)
- Experience in a Business Process Owner / Process Lead role supporting an SAP S/4HANA (or comparable ERP) implementation, covering process blueprinting through hypercare.
- Demonstrated experience creating/maintaining process documentation including Business Process Descriptions (BPDs) or equivalent formal process artefacts.
- Hands-on experience leading or executing testing cycles (scenario creation, execution, defect triage, retesting, and resolution sign-off).
- Experience enabling end users through training preparation and delivery support, and supporting post go-live stabilization.
- Experience operating in a global / multi-market rollout context with strong alignment to standard process design.
