Job Description

BCTG’s direct Medical Devise client is looking for a Contract to Hire SAP Order to Cash Solution Architect. This person will provide leadership, functional and technical support for global medical device company on an S/4HANA platform. In support of the SAP Order to Cash platform, this role will lead the sales and distribution integration areas and systems through the design and implementation of new business functionalities. In addition, this role will establish standards and requirements to evaluate and direct enhancements and implement solutions related to SAP OTC area. This is a strategic role that will help realize the global businesses goals and key initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads, participates, and coordinates end-to-end execution of Order Management, Sales and Distribution solutions, related projects, and technology implementations
  • Introduces industry best practices and process improvement ideas
  • Build relationships and trust with key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and anticipate future needs
  • Responsible for applying business and technical expertise to design, implement, and support new business capabilities into SAP systems and related third party systems
  • Provides process expertise and solutions in Service Orders, Invoicing, Supply Chain integration, with knowledge of Pricing, Contracts, among others for the SAP Order to Cash area and integration with other SAP Modules and non-SAP tools.
  • Play a lead role in process improvement initiatives for the future state design of SAP systems through blueprinting and designing process, accountable for architecture and design documentation of SAP blueprint
  • Define the standard methodology, responsibilities and deliverables that capture the details of every level of ERP architecture
  • Participates in defining SAP solution architectures which includes evaluation, selection, and integration of necessary technical components to create solution designs that support defined functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Serve as a liaison for managing requirements between the business, SME’s, and the development team
  • Analyze the as-is business process and mapping it to to-be business processes by identifying the gaps
  • Create test scenarios for unit testing and integration testing for all business processes and facilitate User Acceptance Testing
  • Responsible to adhering to SDLC process and managing all relevant specifications (e.g., User Requirements Specification, Technical Design Document, etc.)

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required (Master’s degree is preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years configuration experience in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), specifically Order to Cash, CO-PC (make to stock for process industry), Shipping, Transportation, Pricing, and Billing, and the required architecture and infrastructure to support them
  • Medical Device industry or medical field experience is a plus
  • Experience with SD integration between WM, MM, PP, TM and FICO
  • Experience with EDI integration for sales and distribution
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle for software implementations (SDLC)
  • Experience with new enhancements and routine design & development, including an understanding of SAP ABAP (code reading and debugging skills)
  • Experience with Interfaces (IDOCS, BAPIs, SAP PI, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and patterns
  • Strong foundational background in Application Development/Solution Architecture on large or complex systems
  • Demonstrable experience with migration and conversation of SAP data in complex, global, release-deployed SAP programs
  • Strong knowledge of data management and database development technologies and processes including logical data modeling techniques
  • Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to technical and nontechnical management and staff

Client is open to contract (1 year + contract), contract-to-hire, or FTE.

Remote is ok (Irvine CA, or Everitt, WA preferred)
