SAP FI Lead/Architect

Position Summary:
Bull City Talent Group's direct client is seeking an experienced SAP FI Lead/Architect to drive the design, configuration, and deployment of Finance solutions within their SAP landscape and to assist with an S/4 HANA implementation. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across SAP FI modules, advanced Intercompany Billing configuration experience, and a proven track record of leading successful S/4HANA implementations. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong business partnership capabilities, and a collaborative, flexible mindset.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and optimization of SAP FI solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Serve as the SME for Intercompany Billing, including advanced configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with other SAP modules.
• Architect and implement Finance solutions in SAP S/4HANA, including system design, blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, and deployment.
• Provide hands-on configuration expertise across all major SAP FI components: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Credit Management, Fixed Assets (FA), Asset Accounting (AA), and related submodules.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and clearly explain system functionality and design decisions.
• Work cross-functionally with other SAP module leads and external partners to ensure seamless integration and solution consistency.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices and solution architecture.
• Support production operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of hands-on SAP FI configuration experience across GL, AP, AR, Credit, FA, AA, and related areas.
• Advanced Intercompany Billing configuration experience, including end-to-end process design and integration.
• Significant S/4HANA implementation experience, ideally across multiple full lifecycle projects.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, accounting principles, and cross-functional integration points.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly and effectively with business users.
• Highly collaborative, flexible, and able to work with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
