Job Description

SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) consultant to join the Wave-1 field team for client's S/4HANA rollout. You will work onsite at distribution sites across the Midwest, helping warehouse teams get ready for go-live, supporting them through cutover, and stabilizing operations afterward.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Wave-1 sites onsite through readiness, cutover, go-live, and hypercare
  • Triage, analyze, and resolve EWM issues in a live environment; perform root-cause analysis and drive permanent fixes
  • Configure and adjust EWM functionality, including inbound/outbound processing, putaway and picking strategies, wave management, warehouse tasks and orders, storage bin and warehouse structure, and physical inventory
  • Support site-specific warehouse setup, including bin layout, directed picking, RF devices, and labeling
  • Support integration points between EWM and S/4HANA (MM, SD, LE/Delivery) and transportation processes
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis on site-specific requirements and recommend solutions within the approved design
  • Execute unit, integration, and regression testing; support user acceptance testing
  • Train and coach warehouse users before and after go-live, and build strong working relationships with site teams
  • Document configuration changes, fixes, and site learnings to improve the template for later waves

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on SAP EWM functional experience (embedded and / or decentralized)
  • At least one full-lifecycle implementation, including go-live and hypercare support
  • Solid EWM configuration skills and understanding of warehouse processes
  • Working knowledge of S/4HANA logistics integration (MM, SD, IM/WM)
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues under time pressure in a live warehouse environment
  • Strong communication and soft skills; comfortable working directly with warehouse staff and site leadership
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% to client sites in Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota

Nice to Have:

  • S/4HANA EWM experience in distribution, manufacturing, or building products
  • Experience with RF framework, PPF, labeling, or yard management
  • Experience with multi-site or wave-based rollouts
  • Familiarity with ABAP debugging for functional troubleshooting
  • SAP EWM certification
