Job Description

BCTG’s direct client needs an experienced SAP BRIM Consultant with expertise in Zuora for subscription billing to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing billing solutions for subscription-based pharmaceutical products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management), Zuora, and the unique regulatory and financial requirements of the life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP BRIM Implementation & Configuration: Design, implement, and support SAP BRIM (Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, and Subscription Order Management) for pharmaceutical subscription models.
  • Zuora Integration: Configure and integrate Zuora with SAP BRIM to manage subscription billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Subscription Billing Design: Develop and optimize subscription-based pricing, invoicing, and revenue recognition models for pharmaceutical products and services.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline order-to-cash (O2C) processes, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, GDPR) and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, sales, IT, and compliance teams to ensure seamless billing operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure billing processes align with pharmaceutical industry standards and government regulations.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Lead system testing, UAT, and post-go-live support to ensure billing accuracy and system stability.
  • Training & Documentation: Provide end-user training and maintain comprehensive documentation on SAP BRIM and Zuora configurations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP BRIM (Hybris Billing, Subscription Billing, Convergent Charging, and Convergent Invoicing).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Zuora for subscription billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong understanding of O2C (Order-to-Cash) processes and integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI-CO, and third-party financial systems.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting pharmaceutical billing, including HIPAA, GDPR, and financial compliance (SOX).
  • Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration tools for SAP and Zuora connectivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting billing and revenue issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP CI (Convergent Invoicing) and SAP SOM (Subscription Order Management).
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15, ASC 606).
  • Experience in automation and process improvement for billing and revenue management.
  • SAP BRIM certification or Zuora Billing certification is a plus.
