Senior SAP Business Process Lead – Order Management (SAP S/4HANA Transformation)

Our client is seeking a Senior SAP Business Process Lead to own and drive the global definition, governance, and deployment of Order Management processes within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This individual will serve as the business process authority for Order Management, partnering across business, IT, and implementation teams to standardize processes, facilitate fit-gap assessments, and guide stakeholders through organizational change and adoption.

Key Focus Areas

Lead Fit-to-Standard and Fit-Gap assessments, comparing current-state processes against the SAP S/4HANA template and determining where the business can adopt standard capabilities versus where true business requirements exist.
Analyze and document differences between multiple business units and ERP environments, identifying common processes, unique requirements, and opportunities for standardization.
Drive discussions around what is fundamentally required versus nice-to-have functionality, challenging business assumptions and facilitating informed decision-making.
Shape and orchestrate process design sessions, ensuring stakeholders remain focused on delivering scalable, standardized solutions.
Serve as the primary liaison between business teams, IT, and implementation partners, driving alignment, decision-making, and timely sign-offs.

Business Process Ownership & Documentation

Own and maintain Business Process Descriptions (BPDs) and supporting process artifacts for Order Management processes, including sales order capture and associated workflows.
Develop and maintain high-quality process documentation, ensuring clear traceability from requirements through design, testing, and deployment.
Define and govern process standards, controls, and readiness deliverables required for deployment approval.

Testing, Deployment & Hypercare

Develop test scenarios and procedures, execute testing activities, and manage defect triage, retesting, and resolution sign-offs.
Align testing scope and data requirements with stakeholders to ensure meaningful end-to-end process validation.
Support training development, end-user enablement, go-live readiness activities, and post-go-live stabilization and hypercare support.

Change Management & Stakeholder Leadership

Help shape users' understanding of new ways of working and support the organization through significant process change and adoption challenges.
Facilitate workshops and influence stakeholders across global and regional teams, helping the business transition from legacy processes to standardized SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
Build credibility by challenging business teams constructively and guiding them toward practical, scalable solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring:

Deep expertise in SAP Order Management and Sales Order Capture processes
Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA Fit-to-Standard and Fit-Gap workshops
Strong capabilities in requirements gathering, process design, and Business Process Documentation (BPDs)
Hands-on experience across testing, defect management, training, go-live, and hypercare
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and drive decisions across business and technology teams
High energy, executive presence, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced transformation environments
A strong process mindset focused on identifying what is truly required, driving standardization, and helping organizations successfully adopt new ways of working

Initial Focus (First 90 Days):
The immediate priority will be leading fit-gap activities, documenting current-state Order Management processes, identifying common and unique requirements across multiple environments, and driving decisions around process standardization and future-state SAP S/4HANA design.
