S/4 EWM Solution Architect 

BCTG’s direct client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4 EWM Solution Architect to play a key role in a global S/4HANA implementation. This individual will be responsible for leading solution design for Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), partnering closely with business stakeholders, integrators, and IT teams to deliver scalable, standardized, and efficient warehouse solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices.

This is a highly visible role requiring both deep functional expertise and strong leadership capabilities to influence business process decisions and drive successful implementation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead EWM solution design for a global S/4HANA implementation across multiple warehouse and distribution environments
• Facilitate and actively participate in business workshops, driving requirements discovery and solution alignment
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP EWM solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices
• Advocate for standard SAP solutions and guide the business toward process standardization where possible
• Evaluate gaps and design enhancements or custom solutions only when necessary, ensuring alignment with overall architecture strategy
• Serve as the functional and solution authority for SAP EWM across inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Transportation, Order Management, and Supply Chain
• Support integration design between EWM and other SAP modules (MM, SD, TM, PP)
• Provide guidance to functional consultants, developers, and system integrators
• Support key project phases including design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare

Required Experience & Expertise:

• Extensive experience as an SAP EWM Solution Architect or Lead on S/4HANA implementations
• Deep expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (Embedded and/or Decentralized EWM)
• Expert-level knowledge of:
• Inbound warehouse processes (receiving, putaway, staging, deconsolidation)
• Outbound warehouse processes (picking, packing, staging, shipping)
• Internal warehouse movements and replenishment
• Value-Added Services (VAS) including kitting, labeling, and light manufacturing
• Proven experience leading design workshops and influencing business stakeholders
• Strong understanding of SAP best practices and clean core principles
• Experience designing global template solutions
• Strong integration knowledge with SAP Supply Chain modules including MM, SD, PP, and TM

Preferred Experience:

• Multiple full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations
• Experience in global, multi-site warehouse environments
• Experience with RF, automation, and warehouse optimization
• SAP EWM certification is a plus
