Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Robotics engineer in the Atlanta GA area

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • At least five+ Years of experience in Robotics Engineering
  • Proficiency with FANUC robots
  • Experience in PLC programming

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Kuka, ABB, and Motoman robots is a plus
  • Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, or B&R systems is a plus
  • RIA Expert Certification is a plus
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus
  • ROBOGUIDE experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Mechanical Design Engineers during the sales cycle to develop robot cell concepts and designs, including end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, conveyors, safety equipment, and other cell components
  • Gain a clear understanding of project scope and schedule from the project manager, customer, and project team
  • Perform robot setup from system defaults
  • Configure and utilize tool data, frame data, and TCP
  • Implement vision systems on robot tooling and fixed cameras, including mastery of vision tools and calibration processes
  • Implement robot cells during staging at FAS
  • Ensure successful onsite startup
  • Travel requirements are approximately 20–25%.
