Robotic Engineer

Job Description & Duties:

We are looking for an engineer that is looking to take a leadership position by helping other engineers grow more capable with robotic automation. The Robot Engineer will help provide project based, “Cradle to grave” design, development, testing, and implementation of robots in an automated manufacturing environment. The individual will be tasked with mentoring, teaching other engineers to help grow our overall robot capabilities. The Robot Engineer is responsible for working with the project team to properly integrate a robot into overall project design. The Robot Engineer will work with the engineering manager along with the chief engineer to provide technical expertise to the engineering team. The Robot Engineer will be responsible performance, workload and adherence to budget, timeline and quality. The engineer will be responsible for sizing robots for payload and reach, performing reach and timing studies, programming and troubleshooting robots, develop integrated vision systems to be used with the robot, create simulations of the robot cells, configure master/slave robots using industrial networks such as Ethernet IP or ProfiNet and have knowledge and experience with RIA 15.06 robotic safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • This is a leadership position for someone who is looking to help develop a robot capable team of engineers
  • Engineering related Bachelors of Science degree desired, not require
  • Experience with Fanuc or Kawasaki robots (Fanuc preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to mentor and teach other engineers to help grow capabilities
  • Some plant floor experience required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Travel up to 30%, willingness to work above and beyond in order to meet company and customer goals
